1960’s Pink Elephant Neon
A Mid-Century Modern neon sign, iconic to the Palm Springs area. Since the 1960’s a favorite for visitors and locals alike. The Rancho Super Car Wash is certainly better known as the Elephant Car Wash. Nostalgic, but I personally find it somewhat boring until now having photographed it at night. I especially like the video with the sound of the cars and trucks going by in the background.
Pucci Virus Protection
At the Palm Springs Art Museum today. Braniff International Airlines stewardess uniforms designed by Pucci. Maybe the “helmet’ today would be good virus protection for flying commercial.
