National Ice Cream Cone Day!

🍦 Happy National Ice Cream Cone Day! 🍦
We all know the ice cream cone, which made its debut at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis when a clever ice cream vendor and a waffle maker joined forces to create an edible cone! πŸ˜‹βœ¨ But let’s not forget the iconic drumstick! This beloved treat was invented in 1928 by the Parker brothers, who owned the Drumstick Company in Texas. These brothers took the classic cone to the next level, sealing a scoop of ice cream inside a waffle cone, dipping it in chocolate, and topping it with crushed peanuts! 🍫πŸ₯œIn 1931, the Parker brothers sold their brilliant creation to the company we now know as NestlΓ©, making the drumstick a worldwide favorite. πŸŽ‰

National Cheeseburger Day!

Happy National Cheeseburger Day! πŸ” Did you know the cheeseburger was first invented in 1924 at a sandwich shop in Pasadena, California? Fun fact: the biggest cheeseburger ever made weighed a whopping 2,104 lbs, created at Black Bear Casino in Minnesota back in 2012!

To celebrate, here’s my photograph of a cheeseburger. And yes I ate it. Can you guess where it’s from? πŸ€” Check out more of my food photography (and more!) over at http://SecondFocus.com You will find more cheeseburgers too! Thanks!

National Double Cheeseburger Day!

Here it is today September 15th, National Double Cheeseburger Day! And so my photograph of a tantalizing close-up of Carl’s Jr.’s iconic double cheeseburgers, known for their big, messy, and indulgent appeal. These burgers gained widespread attention starting in 2005, thanks to a series of provocative TV commercials, starting with Paris Hilton, who famously washed a Bentley while showcasing her sexy body and enjoying the latest creation from Carl’s Jr. I love it! Happy National Burger Day, UK! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Let’s celebrate with a throwback to a true classicβ€”the Jumbo Jack from Jack In The Box. πŸ” Introduced in 1971 to rival the Big Mac, this massive burger quickly made its mark in the fast food world. Fun fact: the only major change since then was swapping out Jack’s Secret Sauce for ketchup in 1999!

I just photographed these fresh out of the bag, capturing the essence of this iconic burger. Craving more? Check out my food photography at http://SecondFocus.com you might just find something delicious! πŸ˜‹

World Photography Day

Today August 19th, is both World and National Photography Day. The importance of photography is shown by example that the vast majority of people will never look at this post; because it has no photograph.

National Aviation Day

It is National Aviation Day, August 19th. Established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939. While I wasn’t around back then (lol), at 9 years old, I was already building model airplanes and hanging them from my bedroom ceiling. Fast forward, and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to fly in all kinds of World War II warbirds, biplanes, a jet fighter trainer, and both military and civilian helicopters. Aviation has truly been an amazing part of my life journey!

National Hostess CupCake Day

Introduced on May 10, 1919 but first sold on May 11th, which is why today is National Hostess CupCake Day. Originally they were two for 5 cents. In case you were wondering; the vanilla creme is injected through the top and then the icing is added. More of my food photos on my website at http://SecondFocus.com Thanks!

National Raisin Day

πŸŽ‰ Happy National Raisin Day! πŸŽ‰ Did you know this tasty treat has been celebrated since 1909? That’s over a century of raisin appreciation! πŸ‡

Raisins have a rich history, originating in Persia and Egypt around 2000 B.C. They quickly became beloved in Europe, winning over the hearts (and taste buds) of Romans and Greeks alike. Fast forward to today, and California stands as the producer of half of the world’s raisins! 🌟

And while you’re indulging in the celebration, why not check out more of my food photographs on my freshly redesigned website? It’s been completely revamped for the first time in 20 years! Visit http://SecondFocus.com. Thanks for your support! πŸ“ΈπŸ΄
