Opening reception for the Gaia Hypothesis art exhibit at the Elemental Gallery in Palm Springs California. I really enjoy candid photographs at gallery receptions. Here she just happened to turn, seeing my camera and just smiled. I know she thought it was fun being in the photo. Maybe it was in part because I was shooting with a vintage Leica IIIf film camera. It was indeed very dark in there. March 2, 2024.

Avanti

From the Modernism Week 2024 car show. A Studebaker Avanti designed by Raymond Loewy. Appropriately photographed with a camera that also seems like a Modernism design, a Leica IIIf. The car show was called “Bikinis and Bucket Seats” however it was very short of bikinis. Palm Springs California 02-19-2024

“No Butter”

Very fun! My photograph “No Butter” was given it’s own wall space at the newly opened “Through The Lens” photography show at the Artists Council Center at the Galen in Palm Desert California. The show is up through April 21 2024.

Just the popcorn. Everybody loves popcorn. No boxes, no special preparation. Just popcorn poured out on all black. An original photograph displayed by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum. The result is a magical luminescence.
