Today I received an extraordinary gift of a lifetime. A signed print of a photograph of me by the esteemed and respected photographer Sandro Miller. To be in the company of the famous and noteworthy people who have been in front of his camera is truly an honor.
I was the host at the Palm Springs Air Museum for Sandro’s workshop for the Palm Springs Photo Festival in 2018 and 2019. In that first workshop he asked me to sit for the camera. My place has always been behind the camera. I must say that this was a memorable moment. Being photographed by a true artist. Thank You Sandro!
Note that this photograph of the print does not exhibit what an amazing work it is. A fine art print must be seen in person. And it makes all the difference in the world.
This past week was the Palm Springs Photo Festival. In it’s 14th year, it brings 1,000 photographers from around the world to participate in seminars and workshops and presentations with some of the most honored and respected photographers today.
For the second year I was host for one of those workshops at the Palm Springs Air Museum by the acclaimed Sandro Miller. At the Air Museum, I also hosted the walking around tour for photographers by Fujifilm. My own participation in the Palm Springs Photo Festival actually dates back to it’s very beginning.
Hosting the Sandro Miller workshop for the Palm Springs Photo Festival at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Day 1…
That was a lot; 3 days at the Planes Of Fame Air Show in Chino, 5 days with the Palm Springs Photo Festival and hosting the Sandro Miller workshop at the Palm Springs Air Museum. This morning flying in the Air Museum C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”. Then on to Hangar 24 Brewery in Redlands with the Air Museum C-47 again and the P-51 Mustang “Bunny” for ride flights. Fun to fly and then the Brewery patio with a great beer!
