“Doc” Landing

I knew just the right place to photograph “Doc” landing in Palm Springs. A World War II B-29 Superfortress visiting the Palm Springs Air Museum.

The smoke filled glow from the nearby fires at Reno-Stead Airport toward the end of the day. We were returning from a flight on the Palm Springs Air Museum C-47 “What’s Up Doc?” at the Reno Air Races 2022.

On The Way Reno Air Races

This morning we send three of our Palm Springs Air Museum aircraft to the Reno Air Races 2022. That is me on the ramp managing the start ups and heading out. I will be going up on Tuesday in our C-47.

Flyover Dedication

Two T-6 Texan aircraft doing a flyover for the dedication of a United States Post Office honoring Tuskegee Airman Lt. Col. Robert Friend. Along with these aircraft I was in the Red Tail P-51 Mustang “Bunny” shooting photographs. “Bunny” is in the livery of the Colonel’s Mustang that he flew in World War II. Not A Cessna

So I was in my pool when I heard the sound of an approaching aircraft that obviously did not sound like a Cessna.

July 4 Weekend Flyovers

Flyovers for the July 4th weekend with the Palm Springs Air Museum. I went on one of them for the Independence Day celebration at Lake Arrowhead. On the return we flew over Big Bear Lake and Airport. For the other flyovers I ran the ground operations and shot some photos.
