Nude at the Artists Council

My photograph “Fine Art Photography?” is now part of the current Artists Council exhibit at the Artists Center at the Galen. This life-size work critiques the concept of “fine art photography,” featuring a striking 6-foot-tall nude subject—a rare inclusion in this space.
The piece made quite an impression at the opening reception, drawing many reactions. A sign warning visitors about nudity was even required! Seeing viewers interact with the life-size composition—standing eye-to-eye with the figure—was at the least, very interesting..
The exhibit runs through January 12, 2025. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience it in person!

“No Butter”
Very fun! My photograph “No Butter” was given it’s own wall space at the newly opened “Through The Lens” photography show at the Artists Council Center at the Galen in Palm Desert California. The show is up through April 21 2024.
Just the popcorn. Everybody loves popcorn. No boxes, no special preparation. Just popcorn poured out on all black. An original photograph displayed by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum. The result is a magical luminescence.
A Photograph Within A Photograph Within A Photograph

So I shot a photograph of the photograph through the window. It also created a selfie of me shooting the photograph and off to the left the architecture of that street. From my photo archives.
Too Much Fun For Me!
Too much fun for me! Carrying a camera around I get to photograph the photographers shooting at so many events going on here in Palm Springs during Modernism Week. And in this case a photographer who looks really good in front of a camera too. Sandra Baroni at Gallery 446.
