An original 1987 35mm Kodachrome slide from my collection, featuring Lynn Lowton, also known as Lynx. Lynn went on to become Europe’s “Most Glamorous Magician” and “Britain’s Only Naked Magician.” Beyond her magic career, she worked as an exotic dancer and appeared in the adult film industry under various names. This transparency captures the bold and unapologetic allure of her multifaceted career, preserved in the vibrant detail unique to Kodachrome film.
This slide is part of my growing collection of vintage photography, showcased on my website at https://www.secondfocus.com/index/G0000h1LWkCCepcc The collection is relatively new and expanding—keep coming back to see more additions!
When I was a kid, my eyes were opened to the naked women of Playboy. But then along came Penthouse! Decades later, ‘Centerfold’ has just been published about the world of Penthouse and its creator, Bob Guccione. Guccione was also a photographer, and with these early editions comes an original slide from his archives. This is a scan of the one I’ve acquired. Kodachrome, no name, just marked ‘Test shot.’ There are more in this limited collection from his archives, and I have three on the way that are very relevant to current affairs. They are also much more revealing. I’ll share them when they arrive. Until then you can see my own nude photoshoots on my website at http://SecondFocus.com Take a look! Thanks!
Older generations of windmills which get replaced as larger more efficient units become available. I photographed this in February 2010. For my photographer friends… This was shot on Kodachrome. I waited a few months and sent my last 6 rolls to Dwayne’s Photo in the last week they were still accepting them. Dwayne’s was the last Kodachrome film processor in the world. Palm Springs California. From my archives.
I always liked shooting film. Dwayne’s was the only film lab left still processing Kodachrome. I like many photographers saved our last rolls to get into Dwayne’s to be a small part of photography history.
Now in these changing times, I am going back to shooting some film for a change of pace and for the idea of going back to the history of photography. There is no more Kodachrome or Kodachrome processing but many films are in production and have been brought back in to production.
