C-47 Takeoff
More of the Palm Springs Air Museum C-47. This time as it does a takeoff. I was on the west side of the airport waiting for it to return to marshal it in after two more takeoffs and landings.
C-47 Taxi By
The Palm Springs Air Museum C-47 as it taxi’s past me while I was on the west side of the airport waiting for it to return to marshal it in after two more landings.
Abandoned Car
Someone left this behind at the Palm Springs Air Museum from the Chili Cook Off and Car Show. I am feeling bad that it was abandoned and should take it with me and give it a good loving home.

Good Shoes
She told me the shoes were actually very comfortable and easy to walk in. I do have the best luck with models named Maria.

Yellow Not Orange
I received this e-mail blast this morning from Method Seven. They make high end eyewear for pilots. The e-mail is thanking people for being at the Reno Air Races 2022 this past September. What really got my attention is the airplane is our T-6 from the Palm Springs Air Museum. An airplane I know very well and have photographed many times.
For starters, the photograph used by Method Seven is just not very good. It is blurry, flat and the colors are wrong. There is a magenta color cast to everything. But the big miss is the name on the cowling “Heave Ho”. The name is actually yellow not orange. You can see that in my photograph below.
You might think I am being overly critical. However I have learned over the years that if you want to present your company or product as meeting a standard of excellence, it has to carry over in something like this as well. Not using good photographs denigrates your brand. And I will say Method Seven is a quality product. I have eyewear from them myself.
Arnold Governor
Arnold when I photographed him running for Governor of California in 2003.
C-130 Landing
A military C-130 aircraft landing in Palm Springs yesterday. I just happened to be out there.
Vicky Benzing
At the Apple Valley Airshow this past weekend. Vicky Benzing practicing her flight on Friday before the show.
Makes Me Laugh
This kind of makes me laugh. I get to do some fun stuff. Last week I marshaled in this A4 Skyhawk to the ramp at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Guess I decided to take a photo. Thanks Rob Saxon for the moment!
Opening The Apple Valley Airshow
Unfurling the Flag for the opening of the Apple Valley Airshow this last Saturday. It really was great fun and a great show.

A4 Skyhawk At The Apple Valley Airshow
Last Friday, this A4 Skyhawk doing a practice flight at the Apple Valley Airshow. Just that morning we were on the ramp at the Palm Springs Air Museum. In the late afternoon Sun, it looks like polished aluminum when actually it is bright white. You can see it in my prior photos. The Airshow on Saturday was great fun. Including our aircraft from the Air Museum. More to come! Thank You!
Getting Organized
I have been so busy lately I decided I needed to spend some time getting more organized.
Our Reno Racers
At the Reno Air Races a couple of weeks ago. Our Palm Springs Air Museum three aircraft returning from a heat race. P-51 Mustang “Man O’ War”, P-63 Kingcobra “Pretty Polly”, and the P-51 Mustang “Bunny”.
At One With The Tree
Maria Bertrand in Guess by Marciano. Along Mulholland Drive above Beverly Hills. We did slow down traffic that day.
Strip Teeze
Nose art on the ramp today. This was better to look at while fueling this T-6 than the pump screens at automobile gas stations.
