World Bread Day

Happy World Bread Day!

Today, we’re celebrating bread in all its forms, including the iconic Wonder Bread! First introduced in 1921, Wonder Bread was one of the first pre-sliced loaves. And who can forget the classic bologna sandwich on Wonder Bread that filled our lunch boxes as kids? 🥪🇺🇸 That soft, squishy white bread with a slice of bologna, American cheese and a dab of mayo or mustard—truly the all-American school lunch! Arby’s Classic Roast Beef

Watch as six Arby’s Classic Roast Beef Sandwiches rotate on a platform, showcasing the simple yet iconic design of this sandwich. Founded in 1964 by brothers Forrest and Leroy Raffel, Arby’s name actually stands for ‘Raffel Brothers,’ not ‘roast beef’ as many believe. There are approximately 3,500 Arby’s fast food restaurants worldwide. My Food Photography and much more on my website at http://SecondFocus.com Thanks!

Cybertruck at the Crossroads

National Taco Day!

Happy National Taco Day! 🌮 This celebration now falls on the first Tuesday in October, instead of October 4th, so it could align with Taco Tuesday. Perfect timing, right?

Tacos have a rich history dating back centuries in Mexico, where they began as simple street food for workers, featuring soft corn tortillas filled with flavorful meats, veggies, and salsas. Fun fact: the word “taco” may have come from 18th-century Mexican silver miners who used “taco” to describe the little explosives they used to extract ore. Since then, tacos have evolved into a global favorite!

Celebrate with your favorite taco—whether it’s classic carnitas, spicy al pastor, or a veggie twist—and check out more of my food photography at http://SecondFocus.com And this photograph will be shown at the Artists Center at the Galen in Palm Desert later this year. Thanks!

Fun to Fly

I have had many adventures however I must say that this is a fun airplane to fly!

Flyover for Buzz Lynch

Yesterday returning from the memorial flyover for Buzz Lynch, the P-51 Mustang “Bunny”, the P-51 Mustang “Man-O-War” and a T-28 Trojan. They were accompanied by two A-10 Thunderbolts from Davis-Mothan Airbase in Tucson Arizona.

George Patrick “Buzz” Lynch, Jr. passed away at age 89 on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in Rancho Mirage, CA, with his wife, Maxine Lundt, by his side. Buzz had a remarkable career in the United States Air Force, where he logged approximately 6,000 flight hours and flew 34 different aircraft.

A West Point graduate, Buzz began his Air Force career in 1956, quickly excelling as a pilot. He flew F-100s with the 356th Tactical Fighter Squadron and later earned a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering before attending the prestigious Air Force Test Pilot School. Buzz completed a combat tour in Vietnam, where he served as a Flight Commander flying F-4 Phantoms. He later led test missions for the F-4 and YA-10, including the first USAF flight of the YA-10, playing a key role in the aircraft’s development. His leadership continued at the Air War College, where he graduated as a Distinguished Graduate, and he capped off his career with significant roles in systems testing at Nellis AFB and Wright-Patterson AFB. His awards included the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.

In recognition of his contributions, two A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft performed a memorial flyover today in Palm Springs, California, flying in formation to honor his decades of service and dedication to aviation. September 28, 2024

No Licking

Please restrain yourselves if you go see my Ice Cream in person. Being very realistic we have had to keep cleaning up the lick marks. Although the red lipstick has been somewhat erotic. Thanks I like it! At the “Hot Times Call For Cool Art” show at the Artists Center At The Galen in Palm Desert California.through October 6th. Del Taco Then and Still Now

Del Taco was founded as a roadside fast food diner in 1964 in Yermo, California. The original menu featured tacos, cheeseburgers, fries, and tostados. While tostados are no longer on the menu, tacos, cheeseburgers, and fries are still there, although a little more expensive. At the time tacos were 19 cents and cheeseburgers were 24 cents. That first day they took in $169 in sales, the equivalent of 900 tacos! On my website you will find my Food Photography as well as many others of my photography and video clips. National Ice Cream Cone Day!

🍦 Happy National Ice Cream Cone Day! 🍦
We all know the ice cream cone, which made its debut at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis when a clever ice cream vendor and a waffle maker joined forces to create an edible cone! 😋✨ But let’s not forget the iconic drumstick! This beloved treat was invented in 1928 by the Parker brothers, who owned the Drumstick Company in Texas. These brothers took the classic cone to the next level, sealing a scoop of ice cream inside a waffle cone, dipping it in chocolate, and topping it with crushed peanuts! 🍫🥜In 1931, the Parker brothers sold their brilliant creation to the company we now know as Nestlé, making the drumstick a worldwide favorite. 🎉
