Clouds 07-29-2023

Time-lapse of clouds over Palm Springs this past Saturday July 29 2023. We sure have been getting some unusual weather.

Instinctive

After decades of shooting photographs I find it very instinctive to decide where to stand and how to frame my shots.

Right Seat In The Ford Trimotor

Flying in the right seat of the Ford Trimotor 5-AT-B, “City Of Wichita”passenger aircraft. It first flew on December 1 1928. The Ford Trimotors were nicknamed the “Tin Goose”. Sound on for the sounds of the engines and flying. No music added. I really dislike adding music to videos like this.

Bob’s Big Boy

I think it is amazing how much social history really exists behind this guy.

Sunspots 07-16-2023

Numerous sunspots with two large areas. AR3363 soon to rotate out of view, and AR3372 which has become more magnetically complex. The more complex the sunspot, the greater the potential for large flares. 07-16-2023 Palm Springs California.
