I have always loved the printed photograph. Especially large fine art prints as you would see in a museum. At the Palm Springs Photo Festival just a few weeks ago, there was a display of prints that yet again caught my attention. Reminding me of some of what I love of photography. Printed by Epson, they were especially beautiful so I noted the paper types and now have added them to my inventory for printing of my works. From Epson, Legacy Etching and Legacy Baryta, museum quality archival. Not all papers are the same. It makes huge difference.

The Douglas Ta-4J Skyhawk at the Hangar 24 AirFest this past weekend. The A-4 Skyhawk was built from 1954 – 1979. I somewhat recall as a kid I had a Revell plastic model of this aircraft. Now I get to hang around the real ones. Shot on my Fujifilm X-H1 with the Fujifilm XF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 lens.
Last Sunday, me in the C-47 headed back to the Palm Springs Air Museum. Three days at the Hangar 24 AirFest in Redlands. That was a lot of fun! Thanks to Ben, Sue and Paul and especially to Mark! And Thanks to Jason for the departure video.
Yes for three days, a few weeks ago, I was on the set for the shooting of an episode of the series Westworld on HBO. Think aviation. It will be for Season 3. Want me to tell you more? You will have to take me out and get me drunk first lol.
This past week was the Palm Springs Photo Festival. In it’s 14th year, it brings 1,000 photographers from around the world to participate in seminars and workshops and presentations with some of the most honored and respected photographers today.
For the second year I was host for one of those workshops at the Palm Springs Air Museum by the acclaimed Sandro Miller. At the Air Museum, I also hosted the walking around tour for photographers by Fujifilm. My own participation in the Palm Springs Photo Festival actually dates back to it’s very beginning.

This just came my way… an original Official Program from the 1986 Palm Springs Vintage Grand Prix. There was once racing right through the streets of downtown Palm Springs actually going back to the 1950’s.
