What’s Up Doc?
The World War II C-47 “What’s Up Doc?” from the Palm Springs Air Museum. Likely I have flown in this aircraft somewhere around a couple of hundred times or more. This when we were doing ride flights with Hangar 24 Brewery & Taproom at the Redlands Airport. Great fun! Thanks!

I was just working through some new photo workflow ideas and tools. Happened to use a series I shot at the Hangar 24 AirFest in Lake Havasu in 2018. C-17 Flying Like A Fighter
They fly these huge cargo aircraft like a jet fighter! Boeing C-17 Globemaster III at the Hangar 24 AirFest this past weekend. I would love to fly in one of these! Shot on my Fujifilm X-H1 with the Fujifilm XF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 lens.
Skyhawk
The Douglas Ta-4J Skyhawk at the Hangar 24 AirFest this past weekend. The A-4 Skyhawk was built from 1954 – 1979. I somewhat recall as a kid I had a Revell plastic model of this aircraft. Now I get to hang around the real ones. Shot on my Fujifilm X-H1 with the Fujifilm XF 100-400mm F/4.5-5.6 lens.
C-47 Back To Palm Springs
Last Sunday, me in the C-47 headed back to the Palm Springs Air Museum. Three days at the Hangar 24 AirFest in Redlands. That was a lot of fun! Thanks to Ben, Sue and Paul and especially to Mark! And Thanks to Jason for the departure video.

Baseball, Burgers and “Betty”
Opening game for Palm Springs Power Baseball last night. Just when you thought you were tough, we have Summer Baseball here when it is 100 degrees plus all the time.
My new discovery however that makes it all the better… They serve Hangar 24 Craft Beer at the stadium. Now I am happy! Baseball, burgers and “Betty”! Hangar 24 “Betty IPA” that is.
Beer Buster
After a day of flying and fun at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Come on home to share a Betty IPA from Hangar 24 with Buster… call sign “Beer Buster” lol.

Flying At Hangar 24
So much fun last Saturday at Hangar 24 Brewery in Redlands with the Palm Springs Air Museum! I really enjoy watching people having fun watching, getting people in the Air Museum P-51 Mustang and being a part of taking them up in the C-47. (me in the red cap) Outstanding!
Flying In To Hangar 24
Flying in to the Redlands Airport to taxi up to the Hangar 24 Brewery. In the Palm Springs Air Museum P-51 Mustang “Bunny”. Doing some promotional photographs with “Bunny” and Hangar 24 Beer in front of the brewery for our upcoming flight experiences at Redlands. Great Craft Beer and Warbird Flights!
Smokin!
Shooting at the equivalent of 600mm super telephoto and handheld through the haze of smoke oil as the airplane almost hangs in the air. With the Fujifilm X-H1 camera body and 100-400mm lens. Braced with the camera strap made for aviation by Vulture Equipment Works.
Always front and center in Air Shows and Aviation, Hangar 24 Craft Brewing on proud display at the March Air Field Air Show this past weekend. And myself there with the Palm Springs Air Museum.
Enveloped by a haze of smoke oil and flown by the extreme aerobatics pilot Jon Melby! The Pitt’s S-1-11B Muscle Bi-Plane has 350 HP, cruises at over 195 MPH, and Jon’s airshow routine is anywhere from 9 positive to 4 negative G’s. Wow!
