Del Taco was founded as a roadside fast food diner in 1964 in Yermo, California. The original menu featured tacos, cheeseburgers, fries, and tostados. While tostados are no longer on the menu, tacos, cheeseburgers, and fries are still there, although a little more expensive. At the time tacos were 19 cents and cheeseburgers were 24 cents. That first day they took in $169 in sales, the equivalent of 900 tacos! On my website you will find my Food Photography as well as many others of my photography and video clips. 🍦 Happy National Ice Cream Cone Day! 🍦 We all know the ice cream cone, which made its debut at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis when a clever ice cream vendor and a waffle maker joined forces to create an edible cone! 😋✨ But let’s not forget the iconic drumstick! This beloved treat was invented in 1928 by the Parker brothers, who owned the Drumstick Company in Texas. These brothers took the classic cone to the next level, sealing a scoop of ice cream inside a waffle cone, dipping it in chocolate, and topping it with crushed peanuts! 🍫🥜In 1931, the Parker brothers sold their brilliant creation to the company we now know as Nestlé, making the drumstick a worldwide favorite. 🎉

Here it is today September 15th, National Double Cheeseburger Day! And so my photograph of a tantalizing close-up of Carl’s Jr.’s iconic double cheeseburgers, known for their big, messy, and indulgent appeal. These burgers gained widespread attention starting in 2005, thanks to a series of provocative TV commercials, starting with Paris Hilton, who famously washed a Bentley while showcasing her sexy body and enjoying the latest creation from Carl’s Jr. I love it! Yesterday Facebook decided my photograph for National Toilet Paper Day was too revealing. So today I give you something even more decadent… The “Pretzel Baconator,” a unique creation from Wendy’s, showcases the restaurant’s signature approach to indulgent fast food. Founded by Dave Thomas in 1969, Wendy’s has grown to become the third-largest hamburger chain globally, boasting over 6,700 locations. I just photographed these fresh out of the bag, capturing the essence of this iconic burger. Craving more? Check out my food photography at http://SecondFocus.com you might just find something delicious! 😋

It is National Aviation Day, August 19th. Established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939. While I wasn’t around back then (lol), at 9 years old, I was already building model airplanes and hanging them from my bedroom ceiling. Fast forward, and I’ve had the incredible opportunity to fly in all kinds of World War II warbirds, biplanes, a jet fighter trainer, and both military and civilian helicopters. Aviation has truly been an amazing part of my life journey!
🍪🎉 Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🎉🍪 In 1938, Ruth Graves Wakefield had a sweet accident that changed dessert history forever. She chopped up chocolate thinking it would melt into her cookie dough, but instead, it held its shape, creating the first-ever chocolate chip cookies! 🍫✨ First served at the Toll House Inn in Whitman, MA, these cookies quickly became a beloved classic. Check out more of my food photos on my website at http://SecondFocus.com Thanks for stopping by! 😋📸
