This is a good view for watching an airshow. The P-51 Mustang “Bunny” from the Palm Springs Air Museum.
“Bunny” opens the show doing a flyby of a giant American Flag skydiver at the “Wings Over Camarillo” airshow. “Bunny” is a P-51 Mustang owned by the Palm Springs Air Museum. Dedicated to the “Red Tails” Tuskegee Airmen.
I was just working through some new photo workflow ideas and tools. Happened to use a series I shot at the Hangar 24 AirFest in Lake Havasu in 2018. Thought this was a pretty cool photograph to share with you. An A-10 Thunderbolt flying by. Photographed with my Fujifilm X-H1 with the Fujifilm XF100-400 lens.
What can we bring to your airshow? We can also do something special for your corporate events? Warbird rides for your top execs or best clients perhaps? Send me a note or give me a call and we can talk.

Just returned from the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) convention in Las Vegas. There as Aviation Coordinator for the Palm Springs Air Museum. A big Thank You to Greg Hiser, Air Capital Insurance (ACI), insurer of the Palm Springs Air Museum. A random drawing by ACI, and won by me, paid for a great dinner for myself and our two other Museum attendees. So a toast to Greg Hiser and ACI!
On the way back from a very fun Kingman AirFest Saturday in a World War II C-47. I had never stopped moving since 7am this morning. And this actually wasn’t a down time either; I was texting the Palm Springs Air Museum crew about our updated arrival time.
A feature I never thought I would use but now I have and I love it! Wirelessly transferring photos from my FujifilmX-Series cameras to my iPhone or iPad.
At the “Wings Over Camarillo” airshow with the Palm Springs Air Museum. I am the Museum photographer and also Social Media Manager. Shooting the show opening USAF skydiving with my X-T3 and 100-400 lens, I knew I had beautiful shots but how to get one up on Social Media on the spot.
I had already paired my X-T3 with my iPhone using the Fujifilm Cam Remote app. I selected one of the photos and instantly transferred it to my phone. It was beautiful as shot. Within moments I had it on the Air Museum Instagram where it was an instant hit. Another Fujifilm X-Series feature that has made my life easier.
This is the exact photo, except I did add my logo in Photoshop for display here. However no other editing.
I just returned from the weekend at the “Wings Over Camarillo” airshow. Making for huge crowd excitement was my friend, pilot Jason Somes in his newly acquired MiG-17. Going past the crowd, down on the deck, at speeds I will only confirm were below the sound barrier.
Lots of exciting flying at the Hangar 24 AirFest in Redlands this past weekend. I was there with the Palm Springs Air Museum shooting some photos and video. Here are some to give you a look!
When I was a kid it was exciting to sneak a peek of a Playboy Bunny. Now I am with an entirely different “Bunny” and it is pretty exciting too! Also for a good cause!
