Holy Hell!

I had been looking for a good looking guy to cast for a very sexy fashion editorial type shoot with a top professional woman model. So I sent her a photo of John Black after our photo shoot yesterday to see what she thought of him. The answer… “Holy Hell! Andddd when does he want to shoot? :)”. That is just too good!

That was my first time shooting with John. I expect there will be more. By the way, he is 6ft-2 and 23 years old, in case you wanted to know. He has been represented by an agency and has actually been doing good with print work, commercials and runway. Our photo shoot was in my pool in Palm Springs. A Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Only the best!

They Walk Amongst Us

Distinctive, standouts, gorgeous, handsome ,beautiful and maybe driven. Kerstin Schulze is one of them. A professional in the world of fitness, she is equally fun, considerate and compassionate. And Kerstin would be the first to tell you that anyone can be one who walks amongst us. Makeup and Hair Styling by Natalie Lyle who also walks amongst us! From our photo shoot. Thanks!

Summit Inn, Sad

The news reports from the huge Bluecut Fire are nothing but sad. Also sad is the loss of the Summit Inn, a roadside Route 66 stop with it’s roots going back to 1928. Myself and friends stopped there just back in November on one of our photo excursions. Reminds me to get out and see more of the world, even when it is close by.

Bed Time

Billboards in Las Vegas and full page ads in Vogue are where you have seen Shawn Towne. But I put her to bed, at least in front of my cameras. And that was in Las Vegas too. What is beautiful in Las Vegas is beautiful everywhere! Makeup and Hair Styling by the so very professional Christine Copeland. Photo assistant and even wardrobe styling ideas for the day by the equally talented Jennifer Chamberlin.

Noel No Not Christmas

My preference of Noel, not Christmas, actress and model Noel VanBrocklin. So very fun in a photo shoot! Looking forward to seeing her again soon in front of my camera. Makeup and Hair Styling by Estee Lauder’s world traveling Blanche LeBeau. Shoot notes… Hasselblad digital camera system, Broncolor lighting with the Broncolor Para 133 reflector. Only the best! Thanks!

Metropolis II

Some fun video I shot of Metropolis II by Chris Burden on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

“Chris Burden’s Metropolis II is an intense kinetic sculpture, modeled after a fast paced, frenetic modern city. Steel beams form an eclectic grid interwoven with an elaborate system of 18 roadways, including one six lane freeway, and HO scale train tracks. Miniature cars speed through the city at 240 scale miles per hour; every hour, the equivalent of approximately 100,000 cars circulate through the dense network of buildings. According to Burden, “The noise, the continuous flow of the trains, and the speeding toy cars produce in the viewer the stress of living in a dynamic, active and bustling 21st century city.”
