Noel in a chair that has been in my life for 36 years. Studio photo shoot with a Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Makeup and Hair Styling by Estee Lauder featured artist Blanche LeBeau.
Certainly got my attention. I like this idea of wardrobe for a photo shoot. From the Facebook group Vamps and Flappers of the 1920’s, 1920’s, and early 1930’s.
“Actress Lorraine Marshall in the 1933 film “Footlight Parade”. Marshall was a bit actress and dancer in many pre-code film and early talkies, including “It’s Great To Be Alive” (1933) and “I’ve Got Your Number” (1934).
I have said it before, one of the most beautiful women I have ever photographed. And I have photographed her many times. My buddy Randalene Sergent. Makeup and hair styling by Natalie Lyle.
Model Aristodeme naked except for wrapped in papier doux. A day we spent shooting with many unusual props and ideas. Much fun! Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Thanks!
I do not know how many times I photographed Randalene Sergent. I first photographed her for a feature in Iron Man Magazine for Bodybuilding.com. I remember being speechless, she was so breathtakingly beautiful as I looked through the camera. We became steadfast friends and I went on to photograph her for more magazine features, advertising, company promotions and fashion editorials. Makeup and hair styling in this photo shoot by another of my steadfast best buddies, Natalie Lyle.
Xtine posing in our photo shoot at Bombay Beach at the Salon Sea, One of my all time favorite models at one of my all time favorite places. Xtine, a professional model at over 6 ft tall and a superb photographer herself. Video shot on a Fujifilm X-Series camera. Photo shoot with a Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting.
Just too fun! Instant photographs from my shoot with Shauna Toerner. Actually shot about fifty. Love the look and so simple.
And as for Shauna Toerner in front of the camera…. Just Wow! Love her and will be showing more from our shoot soon.
Including more of the Fujifilm Instax instant photos, the photos from the shoot itself on Hasselblad digital and Broncolor lighting. Some video too! Makeup and Hair Styling by the ever impressive Natalie Lyle. Thanks!
I like it when they like it! I shoot Hasselblad digital camera systems and Broncolor lighting. Only the best! But even better when the wonderful Catherine Kwong likes it!
With the incredible professional dancer and model VikTory. Every movement a work of art. Photo shoot notes… The beautiful makeup and hair styling by Natalie Lyle. Hasselblad digital camera system. Lighting by Broncolor with the Move 1200L Pack and Para 133 reflector.
I always have problems getting the softbox together. Lucky for me my model Amber Flowers knew exactly what to do with it. Shot on Hasselblad digital and Broncolor lighting.
There are those who know how to captivate the camera. You look through the viewfinder and as they move hit the pose, you slightly gasp in awe and press the shutter button. Such is Maria Bertrand.
Makeup and Hair Styling by the incredibly talented Blanche LeBeau. Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Always the best! Thanks!
She has me looking back over my shoulder. Something there? Photo shoot at the Salton Sea with model XtIne. Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Thanks!
A little torn up but all good for sure! Amber Flowers, a tremendously talented and gorgeous woman. Her styling design made it such a great outstanding photo shoot! Photo shoot notes… Hasselblad digital camera system (H4D-40) and Broncolor lighting (Para 133).
The joys of boating at Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea with model Xtine.
Our photo shoot made so much better with the talent of an experienced and wonderful model who is also 6ft-1 in her bare feet. A Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Thanks!
Some more posing behind the scenes with model Xtine at Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea. The BTS video here was not lit. Sun directly behind her. Lighting the photo shoot was with a Broncolor white beauty dish held by my assistant with a Broncolor 1200L Move pack. I was using a Hasselblad digital camera system.
Note the very windy conditions. I have seen photographers bring soft boxes and umbrellas out here for light modifiers and try to put them on light stands. Not a good plan. The wind just turns that stuff into kites.
Another point is having a model who can pose without being micro-managed. The model will not be able to hear you over the wind noise. So your discussion of posing will all be between “takes”.
Model Xtine adding some color to the apocalyptic environment of the Salton Sea. Our photo shoot at Bombay Beach.
For my photographer friends; my Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. So here was the problem… I really wanted to use this framing of the posts with the Salton Sea directly behind her. But I also had really intense Sun directly behind her.
So a white Broncolor beauty dish to my left at about a 45 degree angle to her just outside the frame held by my assistant. Powered by a Broncolor 1200L Move pack. It was also very windy so any big light modifiers would have been a problem.
The camera was my Hasselblad H4D-40 with the Hasselblad HC 100mm f/2.2 lens.
