On their own, both are straightforward. One is about the beer. The other is about taking care of yourself. Many would say the beer is taking care of yourself, so the combination works just fine.
Having been told there is a correlation between alcohol consumption and health, specifically blood pressure, I decided to look into this myself.
So far, my testing has not shown this.

Apparently, there’s a day for almost everything now — and today it’s International Pizza and Beer Day. Somewhere between the invention of the calendar and the internet’s obsession with food holidays, we ended up with a reason to toast to pepperoni and foam.
The scene says it all: two friends, a beach, the last rays of the day, and a pizza waiting patiently between them. Maybe it’s celebration. Maybe it’s strategy. Either way, it’s hard to argue with the logic — some pairings just work.
This is not clear to me. If I drive at 5MPH do I get a beer? How long do I drive at 5MPH? If I drive at 10MPH do I get two beers? And do I get an IPA? Or just some watery lite beer? I need help with this one because I go past this place every now and then.
Fun last night at the La Quinta Brewing Co.. for their Guest Bartender Fundraiser for the Desert Cancer Foundation. My friend Charissa Farley was my bartender of choice and she set a fund raising tip record.
My buddy Dennis Johnson came along. He is the connoisseur beer drinker, not me. I have not had a beer in years, but I did like their beer named “Poolside Blonde”. Seems to be a fit for me!
