Fleetline
A Chevrolet Fleetline parked on El Paseo in Palm Desert California. That is all I know. One thing about El Paseo is that you always see some fun cars. Classics, and I saw one red Ferrari, one black Ferrari, one black McLaren and as usual for Palm Desert, a few Bentley’s.
A Favorite In Budapest
An all time favorite photo, accidentally had to be a selfie somewhat. I wanted to photograph and remember this photograph in the window of the then X6 Photo Gallery in Budapest. I love the original photo because of the scene, the car and the woman. My photo took in the photo, the reflection of the streets around the gallery and me. So many facets to this photo that just happened.
Chili, Cars, Planes and Halloween
What a great combination! A Chili Cook Off, Car Show and all at the Palm Springs Air Museum on Halloween! You could even go take a ride in Bunny, a fully restored C-47! Too Fun!
Good Parking In Joshua Tree
Some people get just the best parking spots! One stop along the Hwy 62 Open Studios Art Tour yesterday. This is at Simi Dabah metalwork sculptures in Joshua Tree.
The Classic Dash Inside
Yesterday at the Vintage Car Show as part of Modernism Week in Palm Springs. Inside some of the vintage classic cars on display. I thought it might be fun to photograph the dashboard on these great cars. Do you remember any of them or the looks?
Cool Car And A Photo Shoot…
A very classic Ford on the streets of Palm Springs last weekend. I happened to see it and had to pull over and shoot a photo. Interesting that I saw a photo shoot going on just off the road down in a field among some scrub and bushes. I suspect this was their car. It looked like a photographer, an assistant holding a reflector and a model. The model did have her clothes on. I didn’t see the photographer but if this is your car or you know the photographer, just say Hi! I just want to say Cool Car! Thanks!
A Rolls In The Grass
They never let me park on the grass. A really beautiful vintage Rolls Royce at the Palm Springs Air Museum for the Classic Car Show and Chili Cook Off yesterday.
1956 Chevy Convertible
Is this just too great! A 1956 Chevy Convertible parked out front at the Palm Springs Air Museum for the Classic Car Show and Chili Cook Off yesterday.
This Is A Big Car!
Here is a car you won’t usually see going though the drive thru for a burger. A Hudson Super 6. I am guessing that it is from the early 1950’s. This is a big car!
A Minor 1000
Is this fun or what! A Morris Minor 1000 convertible parked on Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. A British economy car, the Model 1000 saw it’s debut in 1956. I really photographed it with my friend Bob Merlis in mind and his Feral Cars website and Facebook community. He will certainly know much more about it than I do. What a great car to get around at the beach!
1940 Mercury Eight
A 1940 Mercury Eight convertible at today’s Vintage Travel Trailer Show in Palm Springs for Modernism Week. “The Mercury Eight was the first model of the Ford Motor Company’s Mercury marque and was produced from the 1939 through the 1951 model years.” “By the end of 1940 Mercury could run with the headline “It’s made 150,000 owners change cars!”
Her Gaze Met Mine…
As soon as her gaze met mine I knew I was destined to be behind the wheel of this 1958 Lincoln Continental and driving off to travel the California coast. At the vintage auto show for Palm Springs Modernism Week yesterday. Anybody else want to jump in my car with my camera in hand?
1950 Pontiac Catalina
A 1950 Pontiac Catalina today at the vintage car show for Palm Springs Modernism Week.
Thunderbird!
Is this just too perfect! A classic Thunderbird parked last night outside of the M Modern Gallery for their art show and party for “Mid-Century & Beyond” during Palm Springs Modernism Week.
“Art In The Streets”
I truly enjoyed shooting photographs at this show some time ago. The “Art In The Streets” exhibit at The Geffen Contemporary at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. “Installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists and will emphasize Los Angeles’s role in the evolution of graffiti and street art, with special sections dedicated to seminal local movements such as cholo graffiti and Dogtown skateboard culture.”
