Dance Lessons In Tampa

It is fun to see my production photographs from the movie “Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks” in the entertainment section of so many newspapers. This photograph with stars Gena Rowlands and Cheyenne Jackson really depicts the theme of the movie and is one of my favorites. Actually I shot approximately 26,000 photographs during the production of the motion picture and I have too way many favorites. It was a lot of fun!

The Architecture Of Regina Piazza

So many people here for Modernism Week but too bad they missed the great architecture of Regina Piazza in front of the 1960’s Palm Springs Boxing Club. Next you will find Regina building her own training gym in Dana Point. As if there were not enough reasons to go to Dana Point! Even Richard Henry Dana stopped there on the sailing brig “Pilgrim” in 1835. He won’t be stopping back but you can check out the progress of “Shredded Fox” on their website being built now or by going to Regina’s Facebook page by clicking right here! Very Fun!

A Ghost Of A Range Rover And A FujiFilm x30

The last day of Modernism Week here in Palm Springs yesterday. I thought this “ghost” of this Range Rover Evoque really visually intriguing and it photographed really intriguing as well. Speaking of intriguing, I was trying out the new FujiFilm x30 camera. A small rangefinder camera style, it produces wonderful image quality and color accuracy. Very impressive!

Spitfire And A FujiFilm XT-1 Camera…

Some scenes yesterday at the Palm Springs Air Museum doing some photography and a video with a FujiFilm XT-1 camera. FujiFilm has loaned me their new system for a week so I can check it out! I do like the color renditions and the realism in the photographs. The other things I like is the small size and weight. Two cameras bodies and three lenses would easily fit in a briefcase size carry bag. Very Cool!

A Camera, A Few Rolls Of Film And Thou…

This is how I like to do it. Just a camera with a few rolls of film, yes film! And then a beautiful model with a unique look. The model is Xtine, very tall, slender and just stunning. I had a specific series of photographs I wanted to shoot for some magazines and Xtine was beyond my expectations. Then we photographed some more to take advantage of the time and the day. It was all perfect!

I used to shoot a lot of my work on film. Off and on I have kept going back to film. And now I am starting to like film again even more for at least some of my photography. Photographic magic all it’s own. More soon!
