Flying In To Hangar 24
Flying in to the Redlands Airport to taxi up to the Hangar 24 Brewery. In the Palm Springs Air Museum P-51 Mustang “Bunny”. Doing some promotional photographs with “Bunny” and Hangar 24 Beer in front of the brewery for our upcoming flight experiences at Redlands. Great Craft Beer and Warbird Flights!
Pretty Polly
Great fun at the huge Planes Of Fame Air Show at Chino CA May 4th – 6th for me. With the Palm Springs Air Museum. “Pretty Polly” a P-63 Kingcobra, one of perhaps four or five still flying in the world.
A Serious Camera Strap
I never could understand using a typical consumer camera strap on a professional camera especially for aviation photography. A camera strap failure on the ground and you just drop your camera. In the air it is an entirely different discussion. Very happy I found this strap by Vulture Equipment Works.
Thermal Club Racetrack
The prestigious Thermal Club Racetrack below as we are coming in for a landing at the Jacqueline Cochran Air Show for Saturday May 5th. In the Palm Springs Air Museum T-28 Trojan. Tomorrow morning we will fly the C-47 “What’s Up Doc?” over too.
You Work For It!
You work for it, you build it. A great body by Jessica Holohan! From our photo shoot. Outstanding!
I Did Get To Stagecoach!
Truly makes the best way to get to Stagecoach. In the Palm Springs Air Museum T-28 Trojan. We had no traffic and a great view!
Hays Code
I can relate to this. When the model and stylist ask if I like these earrings for the photo shoot. Claudette Colbert and Cecil B DeMille 1934, guessing the motion picture “Cleopatra”.
Very sexy and daring wardrobe throughout the movie. Likely that the production got in just before enforcement of the “Hays Code”…
“The Motion Picture Production Code was the set of industry moral guidelines that was applied to most United States motion pictures released by major studios from 1930 to 1968. It is also popularly known as the Hays Code, after Will H. Hays, who was the president of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA) from 1922 to 1945. Under Hays’ leadership, the MPPDA, later known as the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), adopted the Production Code in 1930 and began strictly enforcing it in 1934. The Production Code spelled out what was acceptable and what was unacceptable content for motion pictures produced for a public audience in the United States.”
Low Tech No Megapixels
Some low tech, no megapixel instant photo fun at the Palm Springs Air Museum. I have to do this more often! With the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 camera.

Coachella!
Finally I got to Coachella! The best seats ever for the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. From the cockpit of the Palm Springs Air Museum C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”.
It’s A Secret
I really enjoy bringing the Palm Springs Air Museum to so very many people around the globe and here more locally. CNN named it as one of the Best Air Museums In The World. So please come visit and also just follow along!
And a secret, don’t tell anyone… I am having a lot of fun! This is me in the backseat of the Air Museum’s P-51 Mustang “Bunny” taking off from March Air Field on Sunday. Our Museum visitors get to fly too! It is Living History whether in the backseat of “Bunny” or in our WWII Paratrooper C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”, watching our weekly flight demonstrations, sitting in the pilot’s seat for “Open Cockpit”, or touring inside our giant four engine B-17 “Flying Fortress”. It is a first hand experience, always exciting. Thanks!
This video was shot on the new Fujifim X-H1 camera body and the Fujifilm XF18-135 lens. Even better, kept on me with a beast of a camera strap made for aviation by Vulture Equipment Works. That is what you don’t leave home without!
Dedication!
It is not easy to get my attention in the world of bodybuilding and fitness. I have seen so very many. But Jessica Holohan sure did because I knew right away she had put in a lot of hard work and dedication! I had not seen her in a long time so when she showed up for her photo shoot I was totally blown away! Fresh off an NPC Bikini Competition I hardly recognized her. Wow! Outstanding!
Photo Shoot notes… Hasselblad digital camera system and Broncolor lighting. Only the best!
From Here To There!
Before and almost after, still going. My own story and you will like this. A before and after like you have never seen!
Smokin!
Shooting at the equivalent of 600mm super telephoto and handheld through the haze of smoke oil as the airplane almost hangs in the air. With the Fujifilm X-H1 camera body and 100-400mm lens. Braced with the camera strap made for aviation by Vulture Equipment Works.
Always front and center in Air Shows and Aviation, Hangar 24 Craft Brewing on proud display at the March Air Field Air Show this past weekend. And myself there with the Palm Springs Air Museum.
Enveloped by a haze of smoke oil and flown by the extreme aerobatics pilot Jon Melby! The Pitt’s S-1-11B Muscle Bi-Plane has 350 HP, cruises at over 195 MPH, and Jon’s airshow routine is anywhere from 9 positive to 4 negative G’s. Wow!
Visit Hangar 24 Craft Brewery in Redlands CA. “Beer Crafted with Purpose”. And be sure to catch the huge Hangar 24 Airfest coming up on May 19 & 20 right at the Redlands Airport!
F-86 Waves Of Energy!
C-17 Globemaster & Fujifilm X-H1
Nothing says March Air Reserve Base as much as these giant C-17 Globemasters! Doing a fly by over the weekend for the for the 2018 March Field Air Show.
I was there with the Palm Springs Air Museum. You would have seen us flying the aircraft that was the “Globe Master” of it’s time, our C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”.
Great fun shooting with the latest Fujifilm X-H1 camera body with power grip/booster and the super telephoto Fujifilm 100-400mm lens. Thanks!
Fujifilm X-H1 WOW!
The first use with a Fujifilm X-H1 camera body and I could not be more excited with the results! Photographed in less than optimum conditions. I was in the backseat of the Palm Springs Air Museum P-51 Mustang shooting backwards over my right shoulder. I could just tilt the back screen of the camera around enough to just see that I was getting this P-63 KingCobra in the frame. Also I was shooting through the curvature of the canopy and the X-H1 still got focus. Wow!
Gone With The Redbury

The Actual Magazine
There is something so very special about a large format magazine with high quality paper and inks. Just arrived, copies of Livein Style Magazine with my fashion feature shot with model Gabriella Muttone. The photographs so very rich and deep that look totally different than when seen on a screen. Easter Bonnet
This would be more of my idea of an Easter Bonnet. It’s all about the Bonnet of course. Model Severine makes for my idea of wearing the perfect Easter wardrobe too. Ok maybe my ideas about most wardrobe might be different than most. I like it!
Makeup and Styling with the incredible Blanche LeBeau. Lighting by Broncolor and a Hasselblad digital camera system. Maybe next year we need Bunny Rabbits too.
About The Purse
It is all about the purse. Too little, too big? Hold just enough or not enough? Formal or casual? With truly one of my all time favorite models, Aristodeme. Broncolor lighting and Hasselblad digital camera system.
