“Bunny” The Poster

So very fun to have my photograph of “Bunny” the P-51 Mustang on the official poster for the “Red Tails Race Team” going to the prestigious National Championship Air Races in Reno next week!

Fitness Journey Transformation

I photographed and wrote a monthly feature for Bobdyuilding.com in Iron Man Magazine about some wonderful people on their fitness journey. It went on for three years and this story with Juliet Banks was the last. But way up there as one of the most wonderful! Photographed at my favorite gym, Palm Springs Fitness Center. Thanks!

Juliet Banks spent her time devoted to helping others with very special needs. And indeed her own family had very special needs as well. It took a toll on her own health and well being. But there came a time when she realized that she would not be able to help anyone if she didn’t do something about helping herself.

Juliet never wanted to share her story, too ashamed about where she had been. But her involvement in the fitness world brought her to being selected for a feature as the BodySpace Physique Of The Month.

Labor Day Traffic

Not exactly like getting on a freeway onramp. Just made me think of it. I shot these photos from the backseat of a T-28 Trojan as we were waiting to takeoff at the “Wings Over Camarillo” airshow in August. EAT LIFT SLEEP REPEAT

“EAT LIFT SLEEP REPEAT” – Sometimes the fitness women I photograph wear very little clothes or none at all for our photo shoots. Sometimes, like Courtney Solomon did, they wear something that has some really good fitness advice on it!

I Love This Book Cover!

Yes I shot it and it is exactly what I had imagined. It was with Doug Brignole for his very successful book “Million Dollar Mu$cle – A Historical and Sociological Perspective of the Fitness Industry”.

In the fitness and bodybuilding world for over forty years, Doug has competed in bodybuilding all around the world since the age of 14! He is a very respected author, speaker, trainer and historian of the world of bodybuilding.

Photographed at Palm Springs Fitness Center where not only have I worked out for eleven years but where I have done many of my photo shoots. Did You Fly In For Labor Day?

Did you fly in for the Labor Day Weekend? Actually this was from the Air Fair at Big Bear Lake a week ago. I was there as the Photographer and Social Media Manager for the Palm Springs Air Museum. We had our World War II C-47 “Dakota”, our P-63 “Kingcobra fighter and our “Red Tail” P-51 Mustang “Bunny” there with us. And yes I flew there and back in the P-51 Mustang. Her name is Amy but she has a special title too… Grandma! And a Mom of six!

Amy had been right here at Palm Springs Fitness Center to do a photo shoot for Iron Man magazine and Bodybuilding.com to celebrate her fitness journey. Amy got her start in fitness to keep up with her kids and to conquer her fight with alcohol.

“Part of my recovery plan as an alcoholic is based tremendously on avoiding depression. My love of fitness and thirst for knowledge has kept it at bay…”

Maybe not everybody will look like Amy but we can all be a better version of ourselves. So come on in and workout! If you are not sure how to go about it or feel like you are stuck, chat with one of our trainers. Fitness is a journey and we love having you taking that journey with us! Thanks!

At the opening for the “Wings Over Camarillo” airshow earlier this month. “Bunny” will be in the show opening again at the prestigious National Championship Air Races Reno, September 13th – 17th!
