The “Bunny” View
“Bunny” is the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter. Here dedicated to the famed Tuskegee Airmen and specifically to a true American Hero, Lt. Col. Bob Friend. I had the opportunity on Veterans Day to fly in the World War II B-25 Mitchell bomber “Executive Sweet” with “Bunny” for a commemorative flyby over the Glamis Sand Dunes just South of the Salton Sea. This video over the sand dunes as we flew back to the Palm Springs Air Museum. So very fun! And you can fly too…
Next weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 17th – 19th, you can fly in this B-25 bomber! You will get to check it out in the air from the tail to the gun positions and gun turret and right to where I was in the nose. How cool is that! A better flight for $425 does not exist! Out of the Palm Springs Air Museum, call 805-377-2106 for info and to reserve your flight! You will Thank me many times over!
Air To Air And For Veterans Day
Honoring our Veterans last Saturday flying out to Veterans Memorial Park in Coachella. I was flying and photographing from the backseat of a T-28 Trojan. And lots more flying coming up on Veterans Day Saturday at the Palm Springs Air Museum. More info below…
At the Air Museum, flight demonstrations going on all day. You will see our P-51 Mustang ‘Bunny” in the air along with our C-47 “What’s Up Doc”? and our T-28 Trojan. There will be a special appearance by a flight of six T-34 trainers too. Even more exciting you can watch and even go up in a Stearman Biplane trainer AND even fly in a World War II B-25 Mitchell bomber, both from right here!
Not to be missed! With us will be a very very special guest… Tuskegee Airmen Lt. Col. Bob Friend. A wonderful opportunity to meet and shake the hand of this true American Hero.
Also we are dedicating our newly finished Grumman F9F Panther which was the Navy’s first successful carrier based jet fighter. For that honor we will have with us another very special guest, a man who has been called “The Forgotten Hero”, Capt E. Royce Williams! On November 18th, 1952, then Lt. Williams in a carrier based engagement of the Korean War shot down four MiG-15s. Forty years later it was revealed that all four were flown by Soviet pilots.
There will be food and birthday cake celebrating the Museum’s 21st Anniversary. So much fun going on! You can reserve your flights on the Stearman Bi Plane trainer by calling us at 760-778-6262. For your seat on a flight in the B-25 Bomber call 805-377-2106 (please leave a message and you will be called right back). You can also fly on Sunday and next weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. What a great opportunity! Thanks!
War Bird Flyover
Shooting video from the backseat of the Palm Springs Air Museum T-28 Trojan. Very Fun!
On the way last Saturday morning for a flyover at Veterans Memorial Park in Coachella. Our C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”, our P-51 Mustang “Bunny” and from the Commemorative Air Force in Camarillo, an F6F Hellcat.
Lots more flying coming up at the Air Museum on Veterans Day Nov 11th and for the Craft Beer Festival “Props & Hops” on Nov 18th. Check it all out at the Museum Events page at https://goo.gl/oFKfQN
Posing Interlude
A few moments of posing interlude with Kajira during our photo shoot. The photo shoot itself done with Broncolor lighting and a Hasselblad digital camera system. The video with a Fujifilm X-T1 camera.
Spitfire
A few minutes video tour I did with Mick Dawson at the Palm Springs Air Museum where I learned some really interesting things about this Supermarine Spitfire. This was even the Spitfire that Ben Affleck “flew” in the movie “Pearl Harbor”. Check it out!
Training With A Fitness Trainer
When I do these videos for Palm Springs Fitness Center, it is interesting to hear the comments made by the training clients. There is many a commonality. One thing that I do hear over and over is how happy they are to train with a trainer and what a difference it is made for them.
A different workout method with trainer Dan Partridge with his client Ed. Take a few minutes hear and see what they have to say about it.
And how many of us have said this to ourselves? Ed said that without a trainer… “I found that getting myself to the gym was difficult to do, because I always had other things to do”.
“I have a little bit more limited schedule, we’re doing supersets, so we’re doing 30 minutes, but it is more intensive for 30 minutes. It is a better workout than I have ever gotten.” – Ed
Yes You Can Fly!
Yes you can fly! Flying season starts on Saturday November 4th! Take to the skies in a classic and beautiful Boeing Stearman biplane trainer. The military training aircraft of the 1930’s and 1940’s. This is a real flight experience for you or as gift to someone. On Saturdays at the Palm Springs Air Museum where I do the photography, video, Social Media Manager and handle special projects. Stearman biplane flights only $175! Call in to hold your spot at 760-778-6262. Now that is fun!

Scared Away
Got there just in time to scare off the ghost before he or she drove away. Photo excursion this morning in Joshua Tree National Park.
From The Cockpit
Yesterday morning in the Palm Springs Air Museum, World War II C-47 “What’s Up Doc?”. Headed out through Banning Pass over the wind farms headed to Brackett Field in La Verne. Great fun flying in this big bird that actually flew in the Berlin Airlift. “Like” the Air Museum Facebook page to watch for when you can fly with us too! Thanks!
Love Doing These Videos!
I really enjoy doing these videos for Palm Springs Fitness Center. Faith has had two strokes and was told best for her to get to a gym to workout because she needed a place that had equipment. Then she started working out with her trainer Howard. Perfect! Take a moment to watch, it really is a great story! Thanks!
Squirt VIII
When I get to do these interviews about people and these aircraft, it is a great discovery experience for me too!
Learn about the Palm Springs Air Museum P-47 Thunderbolt “Squirt VIII” with European Hangar Chief Tony Aidukas and then come in tomorrow Saturday, October 7th, and sit in the pilot’s seat yourself! Now that is a great thing to do for a selfie! We have “Open Cockpit” with different aircraft on Saturdays from 10:30 – 12:30. Great Fun! Thanks!
Shoulders
My latest video for Palm Springs Fitness Center, my favorite gym by the way! With trainer Bill Bunchak.

Flying Boat Makes A Big Splash At Splash House!
The PBY Catalina World War II “Flying Boat” center stage for Splash House! A huge “chill” crowd having great fun at what has become one of the premier Palm Springs events known worldwide! And the Air Museum is a huge hit with people seeing it for the first time and fascinated with our incredible collection of aircraft. Over and over we heard “We have to come back to visit”! Outstanding!
By the way, I have recently been accused of having too much fun! Hey I am the Palm Springs Air Museum photographer! I have to do these things!
Day-O!
An incredibly great crowd on hand for the opening number of “Sofi Tukker” taking the Stage for Splash House last night at the Palm Springs Air Museum! Fun that the opening music and song is Harry Belafonte singing his famed Calypso “Day-O” from 1957! I was there as Museum photographer, social media guy and having fun!
6 Seconds
Six seconds to get your attention! Does it work? The video from a destined edgy fashion editorial photo shoot with Amber Flowers. Why did I edit the video to six seconds?
My photography is very involved with advertising, editorial features and online content. It is my business. I make an effort to pay attention to trends and such that are related. I just read an interesting story and report in AdAge. Facebook is working with some of it’s advertisers to develop the concept of specifically six second video ads.
So it seems to me that six second video overall might be interesting. Let me know what you think? Thanks!
