Sexy & Fit Selfie!

Sexy & Fit Selfie!

Sexy and fit, a great selfie! Just the best and so much fun from my buddy Jessica Jacobsen! A personal trainer who is devoted to her own fitness and the fitness of her clients. You can visit her Facebook page because I am thinking now more of you want to train with her too!

I invite you to send me your selfies and I will show you off here on my Blog and on my Facebook pages. Girls and guys, whatever you want to send. In the gym, showing off the hard work you have put in, at the pool, just having fun. Anything a little too edgy for Facebook will go on my Blog and I will safely share it here. You don’t have to have ever done a photo shoot with me or even met me in person. It will also be a great way for me to see you and talk about photo shoots. Let’s do this, it’s all fun!

You must send me the selfie to my e-mail at SecondFocus@mac.com. I will say that I might have to pick and choose to make it manageable and hold some or change when I decide to post them for one reason or another. Thanks!

I love ‘selfies”, I think they are great fun! So to kick off my showing off your selfies I have decided to use this one sent to me by my buddy, the incredible Stacey Naito Ifbb Pro. Stacey Naito Ifbb ProDoc has been in front of my cameras any number of times. Truly she is amazing!

Muscles Not In The Gym

Muscles Not In The Gym

Just because the hard work is done in the gym, it does not mean we have to do all the photo shoots there. This photo series with Jake Sawyer is available for magazine editorial features and advertising. Check with me to see more. And also if you would also like to talk about other photo shoots. Thanks!

Supermarine Mk XIV Spitfire

A Supermarine Mk XIV Spitfire starting up and going out to do a fly by at the Palm Springs Air Museum yesterday. The British fighter made famous in the Battle Of Britain in World War II, this specific plane carries the paint scheme of the Indian Air Force. It’s supercharged engine at over 2000 horsepower drove it though the air at 450 miles per hour.
A Spitfire Mk XI in a flight on April 27, 1944 made the true airspeed of 606 mph in a dive. The propeller broke off, the pilot blacked out as the plane reached 11 g’s and when he regained consciousness he found himself at 40,000 feet with the wings swept back at an angle.
On February 5, 1952 another pilot flying out of Hong Kong took a Spitfire 19 to 51,550 feet. He ended up in an uncontrolled dive recovering below 3000 feet. Flight data showed he had reached 690 mph, Mach .96, which is the fastest flight ever recorded for a propeller driven aircraft.

Phase One Camera Roll Out…

Phase One Camera Roll Out...

Great fun yesterday trying out the Phase One IQ250 Camera. This will be more of interest to my photographer friends here, but… The IQ250 is the first CMOS sensor version for medium format and at 50 megapixels. I did this photograph with available light at iso 3200 and it is great.

This workshop was sponsored by Samy’s Camera, Phase One, Profoto USA lighting and Eizo monitors. Astounding equipment, that I use, and as well Samy’s Camera puts on great events! I even won a Samy’s $150 gift card in the random drawing!

I am going to go out on a limb here and say I Love Art too! I am going to be making more of my art and making some plans. It could involve some of you in front of my cameras. If you might be interested, please subscribe to my Blog here. There will be details you might not be seeing anywhere else.

By the way, this was photographed on a photo excursion I did on Route 66 in California between Amboy and Needles.

“Come Sit Right Here”- She Said…

I remember very distinctly what Maria Bertrand said to me when I was shooting this photograph. “Come sit right here next to me and we will talk about that bicycle ride I promised you” she said. Yes that was it, I remember!

Starting At The Bottom With Marilyn Monroe…

Starting At The Bottom With Marilyn Monroe...

I guess if you have to disassemble a 26 foot tall stainless steel and aluminum Marilyn Monroe, you best start at the bottom. The process began today after almost two years on display here in Palm Springs. A truly whimsical sculpture, it is one of the most famous images of Marilyn Monroe, from 1955 movie “The Seven Year Itch”. It will be on the way tomorrow to New Jersey for a showing of the works of the artist, Seward Johnson. Hopefully afterwards to return to Palm Springs as the permanent home of “Forever Marilyn”.

Here Is Far For Someone Else...

Sometimes we think we must go far to see and photograph interesting people, places and things. I always try to remember that here for me is the far for someone else. Only a few miles away at The Galen and the Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden of the Palm Springs Art Museum. “Walk Among The Stars” by Dave McGay 2006. A bronze with patina and paint.

Are You Ready To Climb In?

Are you ready to climb in? A United States Navy SNJ-5 training aircraft which first flew under the designation NA-16 in April 1st in 1935. Later it became more known as the AT-6 Texan. Interestingly 20 of the AT-6 Texans were flown by the Syrian Air Force against Israel in 1948. This Navy version yesterday at the Palm Springs Air Museum.

A Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat starting up and taxis out from the Palm Springs Air Museum on March 29, 2014. The Bearcat was developed during World War II but did not see service until the French Indochina War (Vietnam 1946-1954). The Bearcat is flown in air racing. One named the “Rare Bear” set the 3 km World Speed Record for piston-driven aircraft (528.33 mph/850.26 km/h) in 1989, and a new time-to-climb record (3,000 m in 91.9 seconds (6,425.9 fpm), set in 1972. Fast, loud and powerful, watch this thing start up!

An Iron Man Magazine Rising Star

An Iron Man Magazine Rising Star

Outstanding! I put this guy in front of my camera because I was sure he would be going places in our world of bodybuilding and fitness. Lonnie Teper in his current “Rising Stars” column of IRON MAN MAGAZINE was sure of it too. And if Lonnie says he is a “Rising Star” that makes it for real! Congratulations to Travis Ely!
