I Love Selfies! Jumping Off The Roof Like Superman…
I Love Selfies! And Eddie Medeiros did one that I think came out really cool. Working out, he set up his cellphone on timer and it is really fun! Eddie took to muscle building like many of us kids, regardless of what age or decade. Just like me many years before, he watched Superman and then tied a towel around his neck and jumped off things. I used to jump off the roof of our house! Then at 13 Eddie picked up weights and it has become his passion and his life. Reading and watching everything he could find. Coupled with his interest in art, Eddie has a different look on bodybuilding and it’s esthetics. But to best quote Eddie today, “Each Person is Different but we all have our Special Gifts and Talents to offer to help others to be what we are Meant to be in this Life!”. You Can Be A Star Where You Are!
I met Jennifer Henry when she did one of the shows at Muscle Beach/Venice, and over the months following, learned more about her. The more I learned the more impressed. You never know the path one follows. But I do know that we all can be inspired by those near us. And being inspired by Jennifer Henry is in that category. But for now I will say, look her up on her Facebook page and I am sure she will be telling her story to many more.
Jennifer is doing exactly what I tell and have told to many of you who want to be stars in our world of bodybuilding and fitness. Everyone wants to be on the cover of the magazines and have a big time contract. It can happen but it just does not happen for everyone. Luck, time. place, whatever. But you can be a star where you are right now! That will take you a very long way. And Jennifer is doing exactly that. And that is the right path to those next big opportunities and dreams! It Takes More…
When I first photographed Jamie Eason for Bodybuilding.com for all of those ads and features, she told me about the hard work she put in to make her way up in the world of fitness. Jamie treated herself as a business and made the investment and put in the time. I will tell you right now that she is smart person and not just a pretty face and great body. Incognito At Venice Beach
Incognito at Venice Beach. I think Maria Bertrand wears a suit much better than I do. And no tie required. On the Venice Beach boardwalk it is not easy to look unique, but I think we did that! I saw no other tall beautiful models wearing a suit and Fedora out there. None!

Pick You Plane For Your Photo Shoot
Thank You to so many of you for your notes and e-mails about shooting with me. I just want to be clear that we cannot just run over to the Palm Springs Air Museum with lights and cameras and wardrobe and a makeup artist, set up and start shooting photographs on the tarmac with a P-51 Mustang or the four engine bomber of your choice. This is well arranged ahead of time and there are costs involved. Sharon Lim and I had discussed this early on, and with some bumps in the road, I was able to make this happen. So I would love to shoot with you with that P-51 or maybe a helicopter but send me a note and we can chat about it. Thanks!

Had I not been at Muscle Beach for the show I would have missed shooting this photograph of the exotic and beautiful Marie De Lima Gomez. This coming Monday, Labor Day, is the last Muscle Beach/Venice show of this Summer. Beautiful women and muscle guys on the stage. So come on out, it is great fun. It is always a good time to be at Muscle Beach/Venice. Just ask Marc-arthur Moses Dautruchee working out and wowing the crowds along the boardwalk. And Monday will be even better! Come out for the final big show for this Summer. Guys with muscle and beautiful women will stand on that stage where Where Muscles Were Born. The original big three shows at Muscle Beach over the Summers are the most fun you can imagine. So be there! I will and with my cameras!

Ideas From Where?
I am asked often where I get ideas for my photo shoots. The ideas really come from my mind. But I am always looking at photographs and magazines make up a big part of that. Not what you might expect though. I will be very blunt and say that the bodybuilding and fitness magazines are about as imaginative as tan condos in a planned community. And very often, very very often, the photography is just not good. These are three of the many magazines I try to catch all of the time. Usually I get them on my trips to L.A., I make it a point to make the stop to get some. Others I get include Treats! Magazine, Blindfold Magazine, MirageMagazine, LOVE, Purple Fashion magazine, the Leica S Magazine and many more. These three magazines also are on Facebook. Also they all have websites. Anyway the point I am making is… if you want to broaden your view of photo shoots, either being in them, shooting them or just enjoying them, get your eyes out of the fitness shelf. Make it more fun!
Dog Training In The Gym?
By popular demand, more or less. This was from an advertising photo shoot I did for Bodybuilding.com and rates of one of the all time fun photo shoots ever! World famous champion bodybuilder trainer Charles Glass training a dog in the gym. We had the dog on the treadmill, benches, machines and yes we did free weights. This and another photograph from the series ran as magazine ads for quite a long time. And Charles told me now and then he still gets calls asking if he does train dogs! Great Fun!
Iron As A Supplement…
